Pathology Department
The pathology
department is concerned with diagnosis. It classifies the type of tumor whether
benign or malignant, its grades and stages; and detects any signs indicating
abnormalities in tissues that might affect the spread and return of the tumor.
This is done through microscopic examination of the tissues and cells using the
latest devices that help get the most accurate results.

includes doing hormone receptor tests that set the course of treatment.
The scope of the pathology
unit differs from regular laboratory tests. In pathology, tissues are examined to
provide detailed information about the case, the tumor's nature, and methods of
treatment. This helps the physician in determining the treatment plan.
